Completion of the scRNA-seq experiment carried out on 03/17/25, with indexing PCR to identify samples in data analysis after sequencing.
Small RNAs that can control gene expression
MicroRNAs are small RNA molecules that regulate gene expression, playing crucial roles in various biological processes and diseases, including leishmaniasis.
Regulate gene expression without coding for proteins
LncRNAs are transcripts longer than 200 nucleotides that do not encode proteins but play key roles in gene regulation, chromatin remodeling, and cellular processes, impacting development and disease.
Innovative approaches for immune protection
Vaccine strategies aim to stimulate immunity, providing protection against infectious diseases through various techniques like mRNA and vector-based vaccines.

MicroRNA-9 Fine-Tunes Dendritic Cell Function by Suppressing Negative Regulators in a Cell-TypeSpecific Manner
We recently read and discussed this paper in our last Lab Meeting. Below, you’ll find a brief overview and a link to the full text!
"Dendritic cells (DCs) are innate immune cells that rapidly activate upon stimulation. They show that miR-9 is upregulated in bone marrow-derived DCs and conventional DC1s—but not DC2s—enhancing activation, T cell stimulation, and tumor control. miR-9 regulates transcriptional repressors like Pcgf6, driving DC maturation by modulating negative regulators in a cell-type-specific manner."
